Not A Silly Lesson
Not A Silly Lesson
Once I got an interview to get admission in a reputed IAS coaching centre. After confirming I would not get any admission in leading colleges for UG course, I opted degree +IAS coaching offered by the institute. At last I came to attend my interview in the coaching centre. Firstly the interviewer asked to introduce about myself, about my favourite subject political science, English grammar. Then he asked what would I do if I got 10 rupees on the footpath. Without thinking much I said I would put it in a charity box. Then he asked what would I do if I got 2000. I said I would do the same as in the case 10 rupees. Then he asked: "After some time, a man comes to you and says it is his 2000 rupees and he wants it. What will you say." I said to him that I would make the person know that his money was invested into charity and 2000 rupees was a silly amount.
Then interviewer asked me minimum how much is earned by the person daily in city who is in poverty line. I said 42 rupees. Then the interviewer said the monthly salary of a poor fellow would be less than 2000 rupees. 2000 rupees may be silly for you but not for India.
