The street was deserted, the street lights were on and a young boy was walking alone on that lonely road. It seemed as if he had nowhere to go. He looked famished and his face was deep-set with a grimace. The whole city had got many children like him. But the uniqueness about him was that he was thrown out of his home by his own parents because he demanded decent manners, love, respect and gratitude for his grandparents from his parents. They were educated and well to do family of the city. Yet the young couple, the parents of the young boy had no such common sense that they would also come to the same stage one day when their son might give them the same treatment.

The young child moved on aimlessly until an old lady found him roaming here and there. The old lady was a widow and she had lost her only son in an accident a few years ago. After listening to his story the old lady fed the young boy with her own hands and took him to her own room. Before retiring to bed she consoled the young boy who had been crying all along and promised him to find a solution to his problem.

The next day the lady took the young boy to his house and brought the grandparents to her house. The 3 old people with the young boy lived happily since that day.

Since that day the parents of the child always fought among them even for no reason. Earlier, such disputes were easily suppressed or pacified by the two elderly people. When the father of the young boy returned home from office he used to get cheered up by the young boy. But now there was none. They realized their mistake but it was too late.

When they approached the young child to bring him back to their house the young boy refused straightaway and said," you people don't deserve to have the gift of a child. Because you don't have a love for him. You can't fulfill his legitimate demand. Love begets love. So please go back and never come again. I was not the only child in that house. There were two others as well. Every child has a right to be loved. So all three of us needed your love. Now, we also are forced to reciprocate. Goodbye."
