Laugh With Caution

Once upon a time there were three friends Rahul, Sima, & Ravi. One day their Teacher had given them a project work which was to be submitted by a day after. So Sima & Ravi, bought a new expensive pen to present their project in a beautiful way.

They asked Rahul that did he write with new pen for this project? Rahul said, “I have not written with a new pen but I have completed my project satisfactorily with my existing pens”

Ha! Ha! Ha!, Both his friends laughed at him without looking at his project!

When Rahul went to his home and his mother asked why he was so sad, he replied that his friends laughed at him as he didn’t had a new pen for his project. His mother said calmly, “My Son, it isn’t important which pen you write but it’s important that you finish the work you have been given with your best effort. Do not worry on the result either”.

Rahul understood the advice. The next very day teacher evaluated and Rahul was the top scorer in the class and got appreciated in front of the whole class.

Sima and Ravi got average marks as their content was not up to the mark. They understood their mistake and said sorry to Rahul.

Moral: Never estimate one’s worth with the expensive things they possess but with the simplicity and the inner quality he/she possesses.
