Is Modernization Evil?

Gracia, a working woman from Europe was married to a man namely Vikrant from India. Gracia’s modern attitude was not accepted by her mother-in-law and she was subjected to the old theorems of the Indian culture. Still, Gracia searched for a motherly figure in her thinking that she might change the hatred to love.

One day while coming back from work she heard the talks of her mother-in-law with the women in their society and then she pondered to change their mindset towards modernization. One night Gracia plotted that she has been possessed by some evil woman (thoughts) who has been troubling her because of her clothes, attitude and she being a working woman.

Seeing this, her mother-in-law was annoyed by the evil woman causing troubles to her daughter-in-law and planned to save Garcia. On looking at this, Gracia joyed with the behavior of her mother-in-law who was planning to save her from the troubles caused by some evil thoughts on modernization. Thus, Gracia’s plan to change the mind of her mother-in-law and earn her love succeeded as she made her mother-in-law accept that she loves Gracia and can’t bear her pain caused by any evil thoughts on her related to modernization.
