Indian Goodness

Indian parents with good morale teach their girls that it is wrong to bleed. When women have their period, they don't enter the kitchen. They're not allowed to cook.

Not because they need to rest. But because they're impure when they bleed.

"You're not supposed to take part in daily routine activities during that time of the month".

"Sleep on the floor, lest you'll stain the sheets"

"No whites, people will get to know "

Some don't even allow their maids to enter their house when it's their time of the month. Good for them though. They might get some rest in disguise of such superstition.

My aunt wanted me to attend a religious ceremony at hers - But the instant she learned I had my period, she asked me not to attend.

She told me 'that it'd be disrespectful'. Although her behavior towards me, certainly wasn't!
