I was watching the sky from my verandah. 'Twas on a bright summer night where the full moon was glancing at me, stars shinning around it and a plane, almost looking as if it were dodging through the stars. The atmosphere overall was calm, usually calm, it was amazing! The night was still, just how I liked it. Soft winds, rustling if leaves in garden underneath.Wow if only every night could be like this? And there there I stood, smiling to myself I felt so big compared to what I was viewing; my small little plants , roses, purple and pink blossoms. Especially eversince dad trimmed down the old big trees, I always felt that way. All of a sudden, there was a strong blow of wind which filled my big round eyes with dust. "Moon , you better be indoors, lest the beast shall have you tonight! " I heard mom warning my baby sister.

I shot up in bed awakened by the sound that I had thought was my alarm clock. I was surprised to find that the glowing red LED read 2:21 am. If it wasn't the alarm clock what was it? I had thought to myself while wiping the sleep from my eyes. Suddenly I heard a deafening crack. One, that you hear when you pour boiling water on ice. While the noise filled my ears a blinding light lit up my bedroom. I could make everything out as if someone had just flipped the switch on and off within seconds. I saw everything clear as day across the room.

It took me a few moments before I came to my senses and realized what was happening. I had scanned the weather only hours before, on my phone and had not noticed any warnings of a storm approaching. But here I was looking out my bedroom window face to face with the violent beast. The true embodiment of bigness, the fury of nature!
