With the rapid change in technology and the world, the habits of human beings underwent a huge change. Everywhere we look, we only see people in a hurry, like running a race, nobody wants to stop, take a breath, everybody is just running behind the unknown. But then in the crowd of people running the same race, we are stuck. We cannot move ahead either go back.
So better we stay where we are and let's run a race not to compete with anyone but to be better than what we were yesterday.
I always believe, "A change in habits leads to a change in life."
The day before I had a conversation with a friend of mine, it was 10:15 PM
I told him ok let's catch tomorrow it's my time to sleep. Since the day we got introduced to each other he knew that I have a habit of sleeping early.
He asked me about my reason for sleeping early to which I told him that I have a plan scheduled for every morning. I take 1 hour for myself early morning.
On which he asked me, "How can a person be so strict to his schedule?"
He said "He cannot even sleep properly whole night and finds no time for himself.
I slept that day and woke up early finished my morning rituals and then saw this msg from him on which I replied and asked him "What you do by staying awake late nights?" on which his reply was "I keep surfing on phone", I just sent a smile emoticon.
I asked him how much time do you give to urself doing something just for you.
He said I don't have time for that,
Basically, the point is not that he doesn't have time for himself, it is just that he is not understanding the importance of spending time with himself.
Lockdown and Quarantine the two words which have disturbed everyone of us
But you know what it had given us enough time for ourselves to know our strengths to work more efficiently, to live your hobbies again, to smile and feel good.
Life is always what we try to see in it.
Why spending time with self is important, because the only person on whom you can rely on for this life is none other than you. It is very important to see how you take care of your body, your mental health, your physical health,
rather than spending time on social media, on various sites, and giving ourselves the excuse that we don't have time, we should understand what we have to do to keep running in the long run in this life.
We should ask questions to ourself
Sitting continuously for 8 hours and working what might be the impact of this body posture on me?
Why do we feel tired even after climbing 20 stairs?
Why our immunity systems are low?
Is my diet proper?
Am I building the world I want?
Are my habits good?
Narayan Murthy once told, "If I could go back to the time when I was young I would have taken good care of my body because today I have everything but not a sound body to enjoy those things for which I was running lifelong."
Yes being strict with our schedule is important.
Self-care is the new trendy.
Meditation and positive thinking are the cure.
Knowing yourself is the best self-care.
