Mental health is such a stigmatized topic that even when it is brought forward for discussion, it is often neglected and not given the attention it deserves. Why is this the case? We are human beings, and humans are intricate sculptures of emotions and feelings. So why do we hesitate to talk openly about our mental health? When we suffer from physical ailments, we readily seek medical attention, but when it comes to mental health problems, there is often a taboo surrounding it, preventing open discussion.

It is often said that we should share our happiness and celebrate our successes, but we rarely open up about our pains and sufferings to our loved ones. In this age of rapid globalization and modernization, we lead stressful lives, and our existence has become highly competitive. Unhealthy lifestyles and fast-food cravings are common, and these lifestyle disorders are closely linked to mental health issues. With the emergence of nuclear families, people often lack the time to sustain relationships. Many individuals are grappling with depression and mood disorders. The COVID-19 pandemic exacerbated the deterioration of people's mental health, as they were isolated in their homes, leading to a bleak and challenging period. The demand for psychiatrists has also been on the rise.

The need of the hour is to rise and awaken to the importance of mental health awareness around the world. This can only be achieved through collective efforts. Therefore, let us use our senses wisely and walk the path of gratitude for everything in our lives.
