Excellence is defined by the Oxford Dictionary this way: the quality of being outstanding or extremely good.

When you decide to shoot for excellence and not perfection, you can bring joy into whatever you do. I believe most people want to achieve excellence in many areas of their lives. But to do so, you have to make that decision daily.

If you want to be outstanding in your job, you have to keep learning, educating yourself, and not waiting to be "told" to do something to further your career. When you become a self-driven person, you take control of your life. You realize you have the power within to move forward and closer to your goals.

If you can make each day a masterpiece, you will be on your way to a satisfying life. Whatever comes your way, you will handle it with grace and integrity and live knowing that you have done your best. And if there is a day when you feel less than satisfied, don't be too hard on yourself. Go to sleep and wake up refreshed, ready to live a new day.
