Here we lie, in love forever
Here we lie, in love forever
The elderly couple had died within hours of each other. As requested by them, the following was inscribed on their tombstone,
Here we lie,
In love forever.
As different as day from night,
As far as Earth from sky.
Yet we loved each other so,
And so we die.
They said we were never meant to be,
Said we were not pods of a pea,
We couldn't care less,
Our love was beyond frivolous.
Days and nights together,
Make the years go by,
Earth and sky do meet,
At a horizon close by.
What is love,
If not to complement each other,
And in doing so,
Complete each other.
