Heal

I decided to have a walk of my queendom.

I stepped outside my castle which was surrounded by heavy rains and fog. Though everything appeared vague I continued to walk. I remember saying to myself " I am self-sufficient to walk the path alone". I swirled open the umbrella in mid-air and with a mild fear stepped ahead in the dark night.

The morning sun embraced the tiny flowers of the garden that were delicately planted.

They would bloom and dry out following their natural cycle. Out of those gleaming leaves emerged a beautiful face greeting me with a smile.

We laughed as we had met years ago.

These years of isolation had made me forget that I had someone to cherish.

This was my first time stepping out in the light.

Everything I was afraid of did not feel scared anymore.

This was the moment I realized that my wounds had healed.

And I was happy.
