Have You Ever Been In Love?

'Have you ever been in love?' She asked. My heart skipped a beat. I felt uncomfortable all of a sudden and resettled myself in the sofa. I looked at her, the smile she wore made my heart melt. She looked gorgeously elegant in the red gown she wore. I swallowed my saliva hard. I ran my eyes over her. I caught her curly black long hair resting perfectly on her shoulders. 'Wow', I muttered. I stared into her eyes for a second and recalled how those eyes had made me to trip and fall that very first day.

At that moment, I started falling deeper. And the lips...The lip gloss was perfectly applied, I noticed. 'How will these lips taste?' I asked myself, indistinctly.

I was brought back to reality when she held my hand and asked again, this time rephrasing the question, 'has someone ever captured your heart in a way you couldn't explain?' I stared at my hand clasped in hers. How I wished badly that her ring finger will wear my ring someday.

'Have I ever been in love?' Has someone ever captured my heart in a way I couldn't explain?' The questions dawned on me. Were the questions different or are they different ways of asking the same question? Am I in love because someone captured my heart or someone captured my heart and I fell in love with the person?

I thought. I looked at her, she needed an answer but a 'yes' or 'no' won't be sufficient. But how do I tell her how I feel about her and that I do not really know if she captured my heart and then I fell in love with her or vice versa.

I looked at my hand still clasped in hers and I decided to give her a blunt honest answer. So, I said : I don't know what love is, maybe I am a fool. But I know what I'm feeling and it's all because of you....
