“Hey, You!” "Come back here you filthy jerk!” "You can't run away with this" “Shut up.” Hermann Reed was having a bad time with the cops. The investigating officer, Rale, tried to chase Hermann, but he escaped. An hour earlier, Hermann went to meet her colleague Sasha who had long pale blond hair and her body was lying on the grass. There were marks around her neck that seemed to have dried up blood. Hermann felt his heart skip a beat when he saw the corpse, but quickly shook it off and ran faster away from it. The cops were investigating and found Hermann running away from his apartment. Hermann ran all through the night. He was running in the middle of dark serene lanes. It was 3 am. He was anxious. The police suspected that the murderer was Hermann, as only his footsteps were found near Sasha's apartment. Hermann fled from his apartment and moved in with his friend named Gwen who was an adventurer. She was not the greatest at first but she became close with Hermann as they got along well with each other.

They shared their lives. Hermann soon began to trust Gwen and told her about Sasha's murder, and that he saw her body in her house when he went to meet her. Gwen wanted to help Hermann so she went around town searching for Sasha's family for more information on this. In the midst of this she encountered an enchanter who knew that Sasha's family was not very normal, they were rude and warned Gwen not to meet them. He also predicted that they would kill Hermann too. The enchanter was very famous, Gwen believed him. When she told Hermann he just laughed as he knew Sasha was kind and could not belong to such a family. But Gwen was determined to help Hermann, she promised herself that after this she would tell Hermann how she felt about him. She was very much in love with him and couldn't deny the feeling of happiness whenever she looked into his blue eyes. Gwen had made up her mind to make Hermann happy one day. She knew that she had to do something before it was too late. So with a sigh, Gwen left. Leaving the man, she loved and headed out into the night. Gwen walked all night. She wanted to find a clue to Sasha's murder. But she couldn't get her eyes off the ground, was the enchanter right? What happened to Sasha? Was Hermann okay? Had he been killed?

Rale was searching Sasha's living room and found a blue engagement ring which was very expensive. He also tried to contact Sasha's family but they didn't respond. Rale felt something mysterious in this case. He was upset and sent orders to find Hermann immediately.

Gwen knew it was a stupid idea but she still hoped that maybe, somehow, she'll see Hermann. She wanted to meet him so she decided to go back to him.

She was tired and needed to rest so she slept. When she woke up the next day she realized she hadn't slept since the night before. "I guess I need some sleep more than anything else right now.” She thought to herself as she started walking back towards the village. It was already dark outside so she could only hope that Hermann would still be at home.

As she was coming down a hill Gwen saw a familiar sight that brought tears to her eyes. She gasped at the sight of a young man lying face down dead in a puddle of blood. It was then that she felt her heart clench. No...no way. She said in shock as she kneeled next to the dead body. It took her a minute to realize it was Hermann. Her best friend, her lover, her everything. She didn't want to believe it.

But there was no denying the fact that the man was dead. Tears began flowing down her cheeks as she tried to hold herself together, trying to keep from sobbing. What was she going to do? What was she supposed to do now? She didn't think anyone would be here anymore but she didn't want to go away. There's no way she would let someone find her like this. She wanted to give a proper burial. She slowly held Hermann's hand and dragged him. She decided to go to a nearby village to try and look for help. When Gwen got back to town it was pitch black. She couldn't see anything. She kept stumbling around trying to look for a place to bury the body. She finally found a small clearing behind a large tree. She carefully lowered Hermann into the soil and covered him up with some leaves that were around them.

Gwen stood there crying softly, her shoulders shaking as the tears streamed down her face freely. All she could hear was Hermann's name being whispered over and over. Gwen cried for hours and she didn't know what time it was when she eventually stopped. After sitting in silence for quite some time she heard a voice. "Gwen?" The soft voice was calling to her from the darkness. She turned around and sure enough, she saw a figure standing there with its hand extended towards her. "Please...come with me." Without thinking Gwen ran towards the figure and grabbed his arm, he seemed surprised by Gwen’s actions but quickly recovered and guided her further into the forest. They walked in silence for a while. “What am I doing here?” Gwen asked, looking around her frantically. She was starting to feel scared. “Where are we? Who are you? And why did you bring me here?” The mysterious voice spoke again. “We are not far from your city. Follow me.” He seemed like he wanted to talk about something but he stayed silent.

Gwen was confused but followed anyway. After a few minutes of following the figure, she saw what appeared to be another town. “Where are we? Is it my hometown? Did you bring me here because you knew who I was?” Gwen questioned again, she was getting frustrated at his behavior. The stranger continued to walk forward. Gwen was starting to grow tired of his lack of answers. They reached an old house and the stranger opened the door. They both entered the house and Gwen immediately recognized it. “This was my family's home, it looks the same as mine…what is this place?” She muttered quietly under her breath. The house was dimly lit but it felt warm compared to the cold and dark woods around them. Gwen walked through the house and saw a room that was empty except for a single table and two chairs.

“My parents used to come here to eat dinner…this used to be where they ate every day,” she whispered sadly. “And this is where we played games…and we would watch TV…I remember watching TV with Mom. And this is where our friends would hang out.”

“This house has been empty for years…and the furniture is gone too. It doesn't seem like anyone has lived here for a while,” she finished. Then, all of a sudden, she noticed the window in the room was open slightly. Gwen frowned. Her heart raced when she realized that the stranger was there to help. “Calm down,” he replied calmly. He was smiling at Gwen softly. She glared at him but relaxed. The stranger looked almost like a child himself and helped her to find her home. How can I refuse a request like this? She sat down at the table and waited for him to join her. He pulled up the chair next to her and sat down. As soon as they were both comfortable he started talking. “Your parents are fine. They're at home. Your brother and sister are also fine.” The stranger answered. Gwen raised an eyebrow. My family is fine? I thought they were dead.

How come they're alive? “How do you know? Do you live in my house too? You're not real...are you? No human would visit a place like this. Are you from the afterlife or something?” Gwen was beginning to have doubts about her sanity. The boy shook his head and smiled at her. “Not the afterlife nor am I a human. I'm an angel,” he revealed causing her to stare at him wide-eyed. "An angel?" She repeated, her voice sounding slightly incredulous, but mostly confused. "Why would you want to help me? The boy smiled again. "Do you think I'm an angel? Don't you remember our conversation last night? Remember what we talked about?" Hermann's death was a real prediction. Gwen thought but said nothing in response. She simply just nodded, she wasn't sure if she believed any of that stuff he was saying. "That was all true," he admitted after seeing her nod. "But I'm not here for me. I'm here to save you. For some reason, you're important to me." He suddenly took Gwen's hands in his. "Will you listen to me now Gwen?" He pleaded. Gwen sighed. “Okay, okay...if you say so.” “Good. I' m sorry for the shortness of our time together but I cannot stay here any longer than necessary.” he started. “Why not? Why are you going? Where are you going? What's going on?” Gwen quickly asked as she began to get impatient. “My elder sister Sasha was in love with Hermann, she explained he killed Sasha or more accurately her father,” Gwen was stunned by this revelation. “A long time ago my sister had fallen deeply in love with him but she didn't want him to go off to a far place and I understood how she felt. I promise to explain everything to you one day.” He told her as he held out a photo of a ring with a blue stone pendant on it. “Is this the engagement ring?”,

Gwen asked in shock The boy nodded.

Gwen stood up and the boy gently held hands. He started walking slowly towards the window. "Wait, where are you taking me?" Gwen asked worriedly.

He stepped closer to the window until the edge of the window touched his lips. Gwen looked outside. There were no houses nearby, just grassy fields and trees. She could only imagine where they were. Gwen looked back at the mysterious boy. “It's better to ride on top. Trust me. He revealed his name is Cyrus and he was the same enchanter she met who predicted Hermann's death. Gwen was scared to know all this. With shaky legs, Gwen climbed onto his back and wrapped her arms tightly around his neck. She leaned her head against his shoulder and closed her eyes. “Just...don't let me fall,” She whispered. “I won't. I promise.” He responded calmly. Gwen felt herself falling asleep. Just a couple of hours passed and she was fast asleep on his back.

Rale on the other hand found Hermann's body near the tree. He could match the fingerprints with that of Gwen while investigating. He started to search for the nearby area and found clues of Gwen's presence. He searched for her contact number through his best sources. He soon reached a place that was very ruined. The officer found Gwen's bracelet which indicated her presence nearby. He immediately asked to contact authorities to locate her, as her number was switched off.

The next morning Gwen woke up and was surrounded by darkness and couldn't make out anything. She felt the wind blowing through her hair and a strong current running over her body. The ground beneath her feet was wet with mud. Gwen heard the familiar sounds of running water and she knew they were moving through a river. Gwen looked around her, trying to find the source of the noise. She found it pretty quickly and saw they were crossing the bridge that lead to the other side of the river. There was a small island covered in green grass and trees surrounding a small wooden cabin. As she got a bit closer to it, she could see a few figures on the other end. Two tall men wearing armor and swords stood beside a small woman wearing a red dress and a black cloak. Gwen was so surprised that she nearly fell off Cyrus's back when she saw them. The strangers noticed them and ran towards them. Gwen tried to jump off and Cyrus kept her tight against him. "Don't move!" He warned her.

The strangers stopped right in front of them. One of them was holding a sword and the other one was holding a bow. "What are you doing here?" The first one asked. Gwen looked surprised and confused to see all this. Cyrus disappeared suddenly. She could not find him anywhere, she told them about Cyrus. The woman gave her a strange look. "Cyrus, how do you know him?". Just then Rale yelled, "let go of her immediately!!" and the strangers left the place. Rale rescued Gwen and brought her to the police station for interrogation.

Gwen stammered and told everything that happened to her. She mentioned Cyrus and his magical powers. Rale was surprised to hear this and couldn't believe it. He informed Gwen that police had found her family which were trapped by someone as they lost their way to the forest. Forgetting everything she had mixed feelings of happiness and excitement as she was going to meet her family soon. Gwen’s family told the cops that they were trapped by someone so obsessed with Gwen, that he didn't want anyone to come near her. When Gwen came to know about all this, she realized Cyrus to be the one who seemed to be obsessed with her throughout. She revealed everything to her family and cops, but no one could believe her. There was no sign of Cyrus in the past. According to the investigation, Hermann committed suicide due to the fear of getting caught in Sasha's murder case. Sasha was found murdered by Hermann as they both were engaged and Hermann wanted to leave her and start a new life. Sasha was possessive by nature. The engagement ring was also found to be proof of their engagement. Gwen looked at the image in the photo and found that it was the same ring as in the photograph given to her by Cyrus. She showed this to Rale, but he was clueless on this part.

Police could not find Sasha's parents. Gwen went to see Sasha's body which resembled the strange woman she met on the island.

Gwen realized something strange happened. She knew that Cyrus was telling her the truth. She also wanted to believe her family. She was not able to still figure out whether the magical events that occurred in her life were just a myth or real.
