Good job best gift

Sristi called her father Omprakash on coming back from his Office. Yes dad, said Sristi who was busy completing her college work of that day. Look what I have brought for you,he said handing over a black colour bag. On opening the bag Sristi jumped with all excitement as she had got a laptop that she had been asking for since quite sometime. She needed it for completing her assignments etc. She was into her Second semester at College and all her friends and classmates had brought one already. Sristi was on cloud nine. She was more than happy to possess a lap top of her choice. Seema her younger sister initially felt happy for her but after sometime she started feeling envious. Green eyed monster had started its work on her mind. The reason being she saw her sister enjoying her laptop time. She used to listen music, play games and chat with friends apart from completing her assignments etc.

After a month or so she slowly started pestering her father to buy one for her too, citing the reason that her work was getting affected due to the non availability of a computer (laptop). Her father nodded his head in disagreement saying that she did not need a laptop as she was not old enough to handle one. She grumbled a lot on hearing this but what can she do? She even tried to cajole her mother so that she would convince her husband to buy a laptop for Seema. But, all her plots failed. She even requested her sister to allow her to use the laptop to which Sristi replied saying she would ruin the laptop if any virus would set in.

This saga continues for some days. Sristi even blocked her sister from using her laptop by using a password reset. After a month or so Seema again requested her dad for a laptop saying she needed it urgently to complete het work in college. This time her dad very casually said if so go and buy one for yourself. Seema was confused how an 18 year old can buy a laptop that is expensive for her to buy. But her ego did not allow her to wallow in pity instead a bright idea came to her mind that made everything do easy and possible. She chalked out a plan that would make her dream work . She started private tutoring, helped her classmates in completing their assignments, helped with project work etc.

Her Super ego too was satiated when her bank balance increased from a few hundreds to 25,000 all because of her planning and performance. She goes to an electronic showroom and purchases laptop that was suitable in all aspects She asked them to deliver the product a day before her birthday. She wanted to prove her prowess and showcase her talent and grit that if determined she can achieve anything. Her family felt nice on hearing the entire story and accepted that Seema gifted herself the best so far Yes, we too agree that is the best gift.
