Gender Discrimination

In this imperfect world, nature has divided human beings into two beautiful creations, men and women. Both are blessed with different sort of qualities. Some are blessed to women, some to men and some are common in both. This human unison which binds them with each other, is broken with the name of Gender Discrimination. It is nothing more than a thinking of men which convinces them that women are lesser and incomparable to them. Because of it women are not given equal importance in any sphere. Basically it comes into play when anyone thinks that women are not equal to men and not capable of doing anything good as men.

 

  A combination of extreme poverty and biases against women creates remorseless cycle of discrimination from where it's hard to live up to their potential. In this modern world there is still social stigma to give birth to a girls and the birth of them causes a great upheaval for the poor family. They see their daughters as an economic predicament and give dowry as a payment to the groom's family for taking over their burden. Sex-Selective Abortion also came into force to get rid of all problems and calamities of having a baby girl. Even after infancy, the threat of physical harms and molestations follows them throughout their lives. Honor Killing is committed by the families to salvage their invisible reputation tainted by disobedient women. It's all because of their choosing own spouse or husband, flirting or seeking for a divorce from an abusive partner. The desperate need for income leaves girls easy prey to sex trafficking and are forced into prostitution.

 

In spite of it if anything can remove these all harassments is an education. An Education is the tool that can help to break the pattern of gender discrimination. Girls' education means comprehensive change for the society. It'll more helpful to change the lives of women around the world raising awareness about their supremacy and authority in the developing world today.
