Four Friends

In a jungle, there lived four friends; a deer, a mole, a tortoise and a crow. They would meet under a banyan tree every evening but one day, deer didn't show up. Tortoise suggested crow to fly and see if he could find him somewhere. It didn't took the crow long to find the deer in a trap. "I'm always very alert but the trap was well hidden." Crow promised to help and flew back to the banyan tree. Mole went with him while they suggested tortoise to stay there but he still followed him in his own speed.

The crow navigated mole to the deer where he chewed open the rope trap. The deer thanked his friends. Tortoise too emerged from bushes and so did the hunter. The mole and deer ran as soon as they saw him while crow flew to the heights of sky. Hunter noticed the deer was gone but his eyes fell on the tortoise who couldn't run as quick. The hunter thought if not the deer, he could at least have tortoise soup, so he grabbed him. "Our friend is tapped." cried deer. Mole had an idea.

The hunter walked some distance when he saw a deer lying on the ground with a crow sitting on his antlers, pecking at him. Tortoise realised they were his friends. The hunter thought he was lucky to have found deer with having to do the labour. He kept the tortoise with the trap on the ground and started walking to the deer, in the meanwhile, mole came and quickly cut the rope. Turtle was free. He got n mole's back who ran into the bushes. Crow saw all that and cawed that was signal for deer to run who as soon as heard crow's sound, got and ran to the bushes, hitting hunter with his horns.

Finally the four friends met under the tree; safe and sound.
