It was not a sunny morning. The sun was hiding behind the clouds for the past 3 days. The shower of the last night was like a blessing for the plants of Jenny's garden. Jenny woke up even before the alarm clock rang. It was her excitement that did not let her sleep in the whole night. Jenny walked to the window which was a few steps away from her bed. She parted the curtains and opened the window to get a view of the morning. A cool breeze went on by touching her face. She took a long breathe closing her eyes. After a few moment, she remembered that she had to hurry. After bathing, she sat in front of the big mirror. While making her hair, she was reciting her prayers. It was her habit. She never did the praying like the others. When one day her mom, who was a firm believer of Christ, scolded her, "What matters is the faith, not how I am praying"

This issue also led to many quarrels between the mom and the daughter. But even their fights also did not lasted for a long period of time.

Jenny opened her wardrobe. It was filled with clothes but what caught her eyes was the white floral frock. That long frock had a special place in her life as it was the first gift from Abhi. She never demanded any gift from her boyfriend like her friends. Even one of Jenny's friend demanded an Iphone from her boyfriend. But what mattered to Jenny was Abhi's love and if Abhi gifted her something as a token of love, she accepted it with a smile.

It was 3 years ago. Abhi's name flashed on her phone. He said, "Come to the gate from your castle, my princess"

He was on his motorbike . "Take this and go immediately and wear this. We are going somewhere"

The moment he saw her in that floral dress was like he saw an angel coming down from Heaven.

Jenny smiled at herself remembering these memories and took that dress to wear. It was still perfect for her. She didnot seem to get fat or slim even by an inch. Jenny took the perfume out of the closet and sprayed on her. She was wearing Abhi's favourite dress as she was going to meet him after a month. She couldnot meet her like she did when they were new in their relationship. At that moment, the alarm clock rang. She smiled and said to the clock, "You are late, dear"

She was so excited that she didnot take her breakfast. Her mom just put a bread on her mouth and she went out of her home chewing it. On the roadside, a boy was selling flowers. She took a bouquet of white roses. She smelt those roses and the fragrance made a way through her nostrils. She didnot believe on the stereotypes that only boys should bring flowers for the girls. "Why cant be the other way? '', she thought.

She took an auto and reached the destination in half an hour. She was smiling in the whole journey by thinking, what she would say first to him, will he notice the dress, will he appreciate like the way he did when she wore it for the first time...

These kind of thoughts played with her mind. It was the auto driver who brought her into reality after reaching the place.

She opened the gate and walked inside.

.She forwarded her steps crushing the fallen leaves. Her face was flushed with happiness.

Ahh that feeling was unexplainable to meet Abhi after a month. She smiled and put the bouquet on Abhi's gravestone which was inscribed with the words :

In the loving memory of

Abhi D'souza
