Finally, Married! Part 1

People led mostly happy lives in an insignificant village in Andhra Pradesh. Agriculture was their chief occupation particularly oilseeds which could be grown in abundance with better infrastructure. Since the availability was questionable, they had to make do with adequate yields that were mainly rainfed. 

Priyanka was the only girl child across generations in her family and was treated better than most girls from other households. She was educated from the nearby government school and claimed, "I cleared twelfth grade in first-class, now tell me who knows these things?" 

When Priyanka was three months shy of her 18th birthday, her father being the responsible person that he was arranged for her marriage with a land owner's son from the neighbouring village.
