Fan letter: it starts with us

Dear Atlas, 

Writing this letter seems like a betrayal to Augustus since I believed I could only possibly love him this much. But oh dear god, you’ve taught me so much more. 

You’ve not only brought tears into my eyes a multiple times, but also managed to  wipe them by making me smile. Considerate Atlas. 

From where you were, to where you currently are, I admire how you changed everything possible, not only for your betterment, but also for others. 

People all around you admire you, you took in Josh after barely knowing him, because you wanted to give him the childhood you never had. 

You made sure Lily knew she could tell you anything because you didn’t want to make her go through what her mother did. 

Hell, you even put yourself in Ryle’s shoes to try and understand why he behaves the way he does.

Yet again, considerate Atlas. 

Emerson too, a young lil baby saw you as more of a father figure I’d say, that she lunged forwards towards you each time she saw you. 

It all comes to a point where I tell you what I learnt from you, what effect you had on me. Atlas, you taught me to just keep swimming till I reach the shore. 

You taught me to always put a brave face on even in the toughest situation. 

And lastly, you taught me to let people who I adore know that I adore them. 

So here I am Atlas Corrigan, confessing it to you. I adore you, as deep as the depth of the ocean you taught me to follow with no signal towards the land.
