Dussehra
" Maaa, where are you??? What are busily doing there in my room?? "
" Hey, Aarthicome inside and help mamma to clean your rooms and books. Dussehra falls the next week, we need to make our house neat and clean to welcome goddesses. I need to get the bommis from the shelf so that we can arrange it in a top-to-the-bottom manner in our pooja room. "
"Maa, why we are keeping all these things during Navratri? What is the significance of doing these customs every year?"
"Navratri means nine nights and it is celebrated for the Victory of goddess Durga over the Evil Mahishasura. Do you know the story aarthi??"
" I don't know, can you tell me the story!"
" Goddess Durga is best known for killing an evil demon in a battle which lasted nine days and nights and that is why the festival lasts for nine days and nights as well!

Each day is represented by a different colour which symbolises one of Durga maa's distinct characteristics. We use to wear different coloured outfits each day" to reflect this.
Dussehra is purely the celebration of good over evil."
" Maa, goddess Durga should reincarnate in this period to kill those demons who were involved in raping, molestation, and killing children and women. If Durga isn't reincarnated some powerful peoples should take the role to save our land from these peoples ", Said Aarthi to mom.
" Hey, Arthi, what you said is right but who will do such things girl? Those demons are creations of mahishasura which is why they are evil over innocent people. May we can wish to have a Durga to kill those people and make our land a pure one. "
"Let's all pray to god to happen this to have a pure land of goodness"
