DAY 3 Of Staycation

DAY 3 Of Staycation

Dear Diary,

Yeah, it is Day 3 of lock-down. Days are moving too slow like anything but I believe that the coming days will fly like a swift. But I am happy about this lock-down at least, for one thing, that is we got enough time to spend with our loved ones in our home. We would not have got united like this if this lock-down hadn't happened. So we do need to appreciate the little things and take the positives out of everything especially in this time of crisis.

I worked in the morning, saw a movie in the afternoon, spent time with my family in the evening. We were talking about our good old days, like how we spent our vacation each year, how I cried to go to the school for the first time, how we used to spend time in the olden days without mobiles and the internet and a lot of memorable things. It was too nice to share and hear these things with our family and it is totally a blessing. So, please do ensure to enjoy these precious moments with your people at home.

I have a strong passion for photography at my early teens and so today I thought of resuming that old habit of taking photos. I took my Canon camera and rushed to the terrace. It was around 6 p.m when the sun sets at its place. The best thing about this time is that we can see a very colorful, mesmerizing gradient around the sun where it hides. So I just put my cam on manual mode, changed a few configurations and clicked pictures of the stunning gradient. When I saw the pictures, I couldn't believe that I snapped such lovely pictures like a pro(I know, it is like boasting about my own works, but I have no other options. Please bear with me). Okay, I agree, not like a pro but a decent one. I was really enjoying the time when I was holding the camera and focusing on things to be captured.

So, we have around 20 more days to stay at home and enjoy the presence of our family and friends, based on the persons, with whom we stay now. So, take this valuable time to do something which you longed to do, postponed due to lack of time or any forgotten old habits. Whatever may it be, utilize this time wisely so that we can make the best out of these days and enjoy the forthcoming days?

In this time of the disaster, it is absolutely necessary to stay positive and focus on the little things around you which give you peace and joy. Pick up a random hobby and spend your leisure time with it. Enjoy the lock-down, stay away from negative-minded people, focus on the positives, let these days shall pass soon... :)
