Conversation with the Virus

The whole world had been under the plight of an unknown virus hosting our bodies, taking many lives and leaving many to the agony of loss of their loved ones. Extreme pain lead me into thinking what this virus was indeed? Virus thrive to survive hosting in many bodies starting from animals, plants, birds to humans. We considered them bad because they hurt and yet there are many viruses that exist without any impact on any. Strange as it sound, we humans only recognize what causes an impact which is good or bad and most of the times it’s the bad impact on us and leisurely ignore what lesser ramifications

Caught in the web of questions as I wished I could speak to the virus itself, what it thought about us? A tiny ugly creature popped up out of the blue on my paper as I was penning down my thoughts.

“Hey, you human, did you just summon me? Am the mighty corona virus plaguing your world?”

“Jeez, that was way to quick to believe “

“Well, well…you humans are always confused any which ways…..don’t appreciate what you have but wish everything that you don’t need……..”

“How dare you? A criminal yourself…..killing all humans on earth and adding to their agony….I don’t like you either “

“Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha……look who is talking ……are we the criminal? Look at you…” rolled the virus on my paper

“What’s so funny?”

“Hah, you just called us criminal! That’s way bit hilarious. We are in the process of our evolution and look at host organisms to multiply but mind you we are various kinds and don’t hurt everyone. But you humans destroy everything not for need but for desires. We were happy with our animals, birds and plant hosts in symbiotic relationship. You literally killed everything. How are we to evolve then?

Selfish humans, destroy forests in the name of development. Kill poor animals in the name of joy, fun, & luxury. We were fine as long as you eat them for survival but killing for joy? Like seriously You are the true criminals! You eat your own host, this very planet by killing in from inside every moment and label us as the virus. You humans are the Virus, you obliterate everything that comes your way.

You know what’s the most hilarious thing about you guys….to create an antidote against us you need us…hahahahahahahahha……you are the virus…hahahahahahahah”

I was enthralled by this comment, I wanted to take the pen strike it straight inside it but in the hindsight it made sense. Who was the true virus? Us or them?
