Rohit was a renowned motivational speaker. Not only he was a motivational speaker, but his talks on parenting and childhood were special too. He was working in a corporate sector at a senior management level, but they say when your destiny calls, things take a turn in your life.

He was called for an interview by one of the famous radio jockey. Shweta who was herself a mother was eagerly waiting to take Rohit's interview.

On the day of the interview, Shweta welcomed Rohit and told her how excited she was to meet him and to have special talks on "Connecting the dots" for kids.

Shweta said, Rohit, We want this interview to be an interesting session, so instead of asking you questions, I would like to invite you to give a talk on "Connecting the dots"This pandemic has been really challenging for the kids, hence please share us as parents what can we do for our children to make things easier for them.

Rohit said, Thank you Shweta for having me here, and a very warm Good morning to your viewers. Before I start the session, let me tell you I and my family ( wife and kids) am a big fan of your show. Your song list is so amazing, but what makes our day is your positive talks. Your motivational talks are really amazing.

Shweta smiled and said, Thank you so much Rohit for your appreciation. We are really looking forward to your talks. So before wasting any time, I would invite you to give your talk on "Connecting the dots".

Rohit said, "Connecting the dots, this terminology has been associated with the adult phase of life, however, wouldn’t it be great if Kids at an early stage of life are well prepared to understand the dots and the importance of connecting them in life.

Childhood is one of the most beautiful and innocent phases of life primarily because of the absence of self-limitations, fear of failure, fear of judgment. It is the perfect time to deep dive into the ocean of creativity and explores oneself.

I recall here a famous quote from Albert Einstein that has always inspired me, “Creativity is contagious, pass it on” and some interesting studies have revealed Kids are blessed with the superpowers of being imaginative and creative, however, unfortunately, some parents instead of understanding and encouraging their kid's superpower they get their kids limited into the box of being perfect.

A seed undergoes a lot of processes to grow into a small plant and then finally into a tree, and so is creativity without the love and support from the parents it cannot blossom.

So, now the big question arises, as parents how we encourage the creativity of the kids. Here are some interesting fun activities to explore creativity:

Fun time with Colours: Colours are the best form to express emotions and kids are surprisingly good at it. Give a blank canvas to kids and see the magic they create with the colors. Do not look for perfection in it instead of enjoying this beautiful journey. Also, do not be a mere spectator of their journey, instead, join them in this incredible journey because every small little step walked together in this journey and creates beautiful memories.

Storytelling - Stories are the most powerful way to put ideas in the world. Do not just read bedtime stories to them, instead encourage them to create a story. Spin your stories around yourself, grandparents, uncle, aunts, etc more someone they could relate to and understand. You will be amazed to see when they narrate a better version of your story. Stories create the best bonding between the reader and the listener.

Family Fun Activities Weekend - It has been seen often though kids love to collect toys, however, nothing makes them happier than playing with their parents and siblings. Dedicate your weekend as Fun Activities Weekend and give chance to kids to pick up the fun activities for the weekend. Responsibility imbibes confidence in them, and it gives sparks to their confidence. No matter how silly the activities are, ensure to show your enthusiasm in form of participating in it. It inculcates team spirit in them.

Connect with Nature - Outdoor activities are crucial for kids, but it is also imperative to introduce them to nature. Nature has so much to offer some important learnings of life are derived from there. In addition to this, it also helps them to broaden their thought process and ask questions. Involve them in home gardening and see the difference.

Creative Games -Creativity is more skill than inborn talent, it can be developed over time provided parents can facilitate this by providing them with an outlet. So, based on the area of interest of your kids creates such games which excite and interest them. So instead of hooking them up with mobiles, tv challenges their creativity aligned to their area of interest.

Dance to the Tune - Music, dance has a great impact on kids, no wonder they watch the steps carefully and try to emulate the same. Encourage them to participate in the various relevant competitions available. Teach them Participation is not always about winning sometimes it is also about learning and rejoicing in the victory of fellow participants. Record their dance moves, watch it with them together and enjoy this journey.

Creativity is supposed to be fun however when perfection, limitation meddles with it, it loses its’ Midas touch. Let creativity spreads its wings and lets your kids experience its magic.

As Rohit, ended his session, Shweta was so happy on hearing the session as if even without knowing her questions, Rohit has very well answered her questions.

Shweta thanked Rohit for being here in the show and enlightening the parents with such beautiful tips.
