Confessions: Chapter 2

                    

NOTE AND DISCLAIMER: This story is based on Author’s fiction. It doesn’t apply to any references or real-life incidents. A sequel to Confessions: Chapter 1, I follow non-linear narration similar to CID: The Sixth Case and KGF Story Universe. This is my first story in which the character Adhithya is shown in different shaded negative character(previously he was shown as a rapist and listful guy[typecast]).

2018, CHENNAI

After meeting Rohan, Aravinth came back to his house. But he couldn’t sleep. He was very curious to know about the case of Dhanush-Aishwarya. The next day, he once again met Rohan and said:

"Sir. The case which flipped the whole India before thirty years, and till now which made a huge impact on the Indian crime history, in the first chapter of Confessions, how horribly did Dhanush and Aishwarya were killed, and after brutally killing their parents, what Adhithya and Dinesh did to hide it, and finally how they caught got on the police we have detail seen that. But, in favor to Dhanush people were giving their support in Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Why?"

"You know well that it was for Adhithya and Dinesh. Not for the dead Aishwarya and Dhanush" said Rohan.

"Yes sir. It was very shocking to me. For both the killers who killed their own parents brutally, and that too 20 years later after the case was over, why people protest?" said Aravinth.

"A million dollar question might be popped in your mind that why a lot of people were supporting them, Aravinth. Maybe they didn’t kill them and have they got caught for some other’s mistakes. Like this it may have given you a lot of questions. But Adhithya and Dinesh was the one who killed them brutally."

"But why 20 years later these many people were in support of them in 2018?"

"You will know the answer for this question at the end of this story, Aravinth." said Rohan. He smiled while telling this to him.

"But, it will be more shocking to you." After putting the morning tablets, Rohan said: "There is one reason why people supported and protested for them. And it was because of the reason Dinesh and Adhithya told in the court about the motive of murder."

"If money is not the motive of murder means, then what happened in their life which made them kill their parents brutally?"

FEW YEARS BACK

MARCH 2006

SUPREME COURT, NEW DELHI

In March 2006 Adhithya and Dinesh were arrested for killing Dhanush and Aishwarya and in August 2006 their case was first conducted in court. It was telecasted throughout India in a channel called Court TV.

This case was virally talked about throughout India. Government prosecutor Shri Akshin said: "Honorable court. Adhithya and Dinesh killed their parents for the asset." He further put the statement that it was for the insurance amount.

After that they heard about Adhithya and Dinesh’s statement. They started saying the reason why they killed them in the court.

"So Aravinth. It’s time to know the answer for all your questions, now" said Rohan at present.

(Flashes back to 2006)

In the court, Dinesh and Adhithya started telling the motive of their murder.

Looking at the family status of Dhanush, everyone thought that Adhithya and Dinesh lived a very luxurious and happy life. Like they thought it’s true and they lived a luxurious life. But there was no happiness in their life.

"Aravinth. We all dream about going to our childhood again at least once. But Adhithya and Dinesh are different from that. They don’t even wish to dream about their childhood. Because their childhood was very horrible." Rohan said at present.

(Flashes back to 2006)

Even though Dhanush and Aishwarya were in a prestigious high status in the society, but in their family, they have been a bad and psychopathic parent. Even Adhithya was wounded in his childhood, with that wound Dhanush will force him to play tennis.

If Adhithya mention about his pain, he will get beaten in the wound itself. Fearing that Adhithya will play tennis. (But the tennis is not a normal tennis like we think.

According to Dhanush, the game is totally different. When he plays tennis with Adhithya and Dinesh, he will make them stand and beat them in their face and if they didn’t come to play because of pain he will beat them with tennis bat.

In fear without any option, they will get hit by the ball. Adhithya will take the ball and give to Dhanush. He will come and stand in the same place.

Whenever Dhanush gets mood out in the tailoring machine of their house, he will pick their hand in that needle. It’s very normal for children to do mistake in their childhood. But in their house, it’s a very big crime.

Even if they did a very small mistake, Dhanush will remove his belt and beat them with the buckles. Like this very few times only they got beatings for the mistakes they did. But most of the time they got beatings without knowing the reason.

Most of the time without any reason Dhanush, will prick Dinesh and Adhithya’s palms with the syringe they use in hospital.

Adhithya said in the court at present,

"Sir. We don’t know it was an abuse at the age. We will think that dad is punishing for our mistakes. After our dad left the whole day, we will try to find our mistake and stop it. Only then we won’t get beating again. So we will be searching for our mistakes. After some age only we came to know that we are not the reason why he is punishing us. We realized that he’s abusing us."

PRESENT

"Aravinth. What will you think if a person say that he had taken bath without any problem?" asked Rohan.

"I may think that he is crazy. What problem is going to come in bathing sir?"

"But Adhithya and Dinesh’s life is not like that. It’s a big thing for them if they took bath without any problem."

(Flashes back to 2006)

In Dinesh’s childhood when he is taking bath, Dhanush will take Adhithya and come to the bathroom. He will make both of them to stand under the shower and keep the hot water temperature highly. After that he will turn it on and check who is standing there for a long time.

Fearing Dhanush, both the children will stand in that boiling water. Because of the boiling water Dinesh has lot of wounds in his body.

In the court, Dinesh said at present: "Sir. It’s a normal thing for you to bath. But for us it’s not like you. Even a normal bathing thing hasn’t happened to us normally."

PRESENT

"Now the things I am going to say is the peak of torture, Aravinth" said Rohan. He wiped off the little tears in his eyes. While Aravinth was stunned and emotional upon hearing the condition of those two children.

(Flashes back to 2006)

Dhanush will tie a thread at the end of Adhithya and Dinesh’s private part and because of that without being able to urinate when they were crying, he will laugh at it and will be happy.

Aravinth closed his ears upon hearing this from Rohan. He wasn’t able to hear that.

He asked Rohan: "Sir. Their father is like that. What about their mother? Why didn’t they tell her?"

"Aishwarya is a drug addict, Aravinth. She will drink and beat Adhithya and Dinesh without any reasons. Whenever she is angry, she will cut their face and body with a razor blade. After that she will take them to a doctor and say they did that to themselves." Pausing a while, Rohan breathed for a second.

Looking at Aravinth for a few seconds, he holds his arms and said: "Aravinth. The things which I am about to say, the torture which happened to them till now, will be like a no matter after this. How a father should not behave to his children, and the children which they should not experience from their father, it happened to them."

(Flashes back to 2006)

When Dinesh was six, Dhanush began to sexually assault him and after that everyday whenever he thinks he began to do like that.

When Adhithya and Dinesh were bathing and dressing, Dhanush would suddenly come in and take nude photos.

Now, Adhithya said in the court at present, "Sir. When our father comes home from the office in tension, he will say that he is in tension, and they are going to reduce that. He will ask us to do a lot of things." When he was saying that he cried in court. Since he was very ashamed to say that.

PRESENT

"And even I feel ashamed to say what he means, Aravinth," said Rohan.

(Flashes back to 2006)

Dhanush asked them to do whatever a girl would do for a boy. At that young age, Adhithya and Dinesh didn’t know what their father was doing was wrong. The boys who thought that they should do that for a lot of years, when they matured, came to know that they were being abused.

When Adhithya was doing their side justice, he said:

"Sir. We had been tortured a lot by our parents. But all these physically injured us. Not mentally. Because even though we were experiencing a lot of torture and even though our mother beat us, she would still love us in some corner of her heart. Suppose if she came to know about our father’s doing, we thought that she would save us from our father’s torture and only. But one day, when I said this to our mother, her answer broke the peace we had had for these many days into pieces. When we told her about our father's torture, she exclaimed, 'Oh! Do you think that I don’t know anything? She said that she knew everything that Dhanush was doing. Hearing this, our hearts were broken, which had withstand a lot of injuries."

Dhanush’s torture continued until Adhithya and Dinesh were teenagers. He kept on threatening not to tell anyone about the sexual torture he did to Dinesh outside. Adhithya requested his father to stop what he was doing a lot of times. But even then, he didn’t stop torturing them.

Even a few weeks before the murder, it happened to Dinesh again. Dinesh said this to Adhithya and cried. Without being able to resist it, he went and argued with his father.

Adhithya said, "Don’t you have any mercy, dad?" He asked Dhanush to stop doing this to them. Adhithya started fighting with him.

Seeing Adhithya and Dinesh talking back to him, Dhanush and Aishwarya feared that they would say this out loud. They threatened them with killing if they said anything out loud.

"But at that time, they didn’t know that one word was going to take their lives," said Rohan at present to Aravinth, who is heartbroken and emotional upon hearing the plight of Adhithya and Dinesh.

Hearing their parents talk like that, their peace was lost that day. Adhithya and Dinesh know very well about Dhanush and Aishwarya. Their fame and success in society are very important to them. If Adhithya and Dinesh were a problem for that, they would not hesitate to kill them.

"Sir. It created a fear that they might kill us, like they said. Because of that fear, before they killed us, we thought to kill them first. The pain we went through in our childhood made us do this to save our lives," said Dinesh and Adhithya in the court at present.

Adhithya and Dinesh said, "Sir. It was for our self-defense." Hearing this at that time, judges couldn’t give a proper judgement. They ordered a reinvestigation of the case.

On August 23, 2012, the case came up for trial for the second time. Adhithya and Dinesh thought that they would win the case. But the second verdict was upside down. There was no evidence that they killed them in self-defense. Those who know about the law will know that evidence is very important.

In fact, the evidence will decide the outcome of the case. Adhithya and Dinesh don’t have proof that they were abused, and they couldn’t prove that they killed them in self-defense. But there was a lot of evidence submitted from the opposite side that they killed them for money.

On July 2, 2012, with the evidence they had, Adhithya and Dinesh killed their parents, Dhanush and Aishwarya. The court decided that the brothers were killed for assets and property. The brothers were given lifetime imprisonment without parole.

22 YEARS LATER

HYDERABAD

After that, 22 years later, in 2018, a 21-year-old Vaishnavi from Hyderabad was seeing YouTube as usual, and at that time, in 2005, when the Dhanush case was going on the court, she saw the video telecasted on the court TV. In that trial, Dhanush and Adhithya spoke about the torture they went through.

Hearing that Vaishnavi came to know about their side of justice She thought of doing something for them and uploaded that video to her TikTok account. In a few seconds, that video was seen and shared by a lot of people. After that, slowly, that video went from TikTok to YouTube, Instagram, and Twitter.

A lot of communities were created in the name of Dhanush guardians and Dhanush supporters. For the case that happened 22 years ago, a lot of people came to the road and protested to release Adhithya and Dinesh.

PRESENT

"The people have been protesting until now, requesting a re-investigation. All of them are waiting with the hope that justice will be given to them," said Rohan. Upon hearing this, Aravinth was in tears. He decides to support Dinesh and Adhithya with the help of the media.

EPILOGUE

Every child who was born in this world was not born a criminal or a scientist. If a child grows up and commits a crime, there are a lot of reasons for that. But the first and most important reason was their parents. The important reason is how they raise their children. The reason for that is a bitter memory of childhood. Not only in this story, but we have seen a lot of cases as examples. Like that only here, even though Adhithya and Dinesh committed a huge crime, their bitter childhood memories were the ones that triggered them to do it. So readers. What do you think about this?
