Chapter 6 - Jameson's Phone Call

Jameson's face changed expressions as he desperately tapped the keys in his advanced tracking system to trace the call. Initially, there was complete silence on the other side though he tried saying hello and asking who was on the other side. There were no replies, only certain strange squeaks and screeching like furniture being moved around. 

Then it sounded like some construction site as he could hear drilling noise in the background. All of a sudden the line came alive and what he heard was Linda's voice, the voice was slow and it sounded hollow as if it escaped the mouth with great efforts. The voice quivered and he couldn't judge exactly as the line wasn't clear as he was in the outskirts where the signal connectivity is poor. 

Jameson shouted," Who is this? You don't know who I am. Leave her alone and save yourselves. If I get my hands on you trust me it would be the real monster you would be facing." No replies except for some awkward squabbles. " How much money you need? Leave her", he spoke over the phone. No replies yet again and the phone went dead. Jameson felt like breaking the phone, but then a message came with the location to come. 

He boarded his sedan and went at top speed. It would take him another one hour to reach the place.
