An Ode To Perfection

An Ode To Perfection

The art exhibition was still a month away. The last year's exhibition was a success for me. I started working on my canvas with confidence.

This year I selected a landscape that had a lot of trees and grasses. I painted them to the last detail. And no matter how much I worked, it always felt short of the amount of realism I could still add. For it was the realism element of my painting that had left everyone speechless last year.

As the exhibition date neared, I realized that my painting wouldn't dry because of the amount of oil I had to use to bring out the details. At the last moment, I had to pull out of this year's exhibition.

I learned my lesson though. Perfection needs planning ahead.
