A sad story of kasturi.

I read somewhere kasturi and started looking for its detail on internet. Amajon was very quick with an immediate notification of assured delivery of original kasturi. Kasturi is called musk in english. But I shall call it kasturi only, for it is carried by himalayan deer. Which is now endangered due to over hunting.

I recalled one story about how hunters would catch those musk deers using weapon of music. A tunnel was dug inside below the level in the wild. A hole was made with a pole of bamboo fixed into it. The hunter would sit inside the tunnel. Lower end of bamboo would reach the tunnel inside. The hunter would play tunes on the flute. Listening to the beautiful notes one deer came near it. Listening incessantly with eyes closed, he would begin putting his body against the pole unknowingly under the intoxication of tune. As soon as the hunter below feel the pressure on the pole, would pull the bamboo to down the deer. He would come out in no time and get hold on the poor creature for kasturi.
