A Remedy For This...!?

2010, Feb 14, a heavy argument broke out inside the home as society thinks we (Varun(me) and Ishu) are couples we were childhood friends but this was misunderstood by our parents and our lovers. So, this convo is based on explaining 'Friendship is also a relationship '

''They are young. They would have quarrelled in emotion. The problem would be solved if you go and talk with Ritik once'' said Varun's mother to Varun's father. 

''Problem is not there it's with them. They left their love and come. But they aren't knowing the love between them'' added Ishu's mother. 

''What is this mom? They entered newly into our life. They don't know about us that's why they talked like that. But you too....'' replied Ishu to her mom.

''I can't find anything wrong with what Ritik spoke. Seeing your closeness, when that idea came to your mom ...it's not surprising to outsiders to think like that. So your lovers couldn't understand you. If anyone enters into your life they can't understand you. Then, what if you meet this problem after your marriage? It is better for you to discuss this now itself. The decision is in your hand'' said Varun's father. 

''Dad...'' shouted Varun at his father.

''Ishu you go in...I'll speak to my father ''.

''Yes dad, as all of you think that there is love between us''

''I am thrilled that you've understood there is love between you'' Ishu's mom said with a smile. 

''Friendship is between lovers. Similarly, love is between friendship'' replied Varun 

''I can't understand what you are saying...'' Varun's father got confused by Varun's statement. 

''Tell me one thing, dad, what is that you and mom show me and what aunty shows on Ishu? Isn't it love? For two people to be together in any relationship... they need love between them. The same love is also between us. In this love, we don't expect anything from each other. The love that doesn't expect anything is called friendship. Our friendship started in our childhood when I pulled her hair from her head. After 25 years, my minds still have the same feeling. If I had pulled a hair from the boy, and if he wanted to be my friend forever you wouldn't say NO, right? Your problem is because Ishu is a girl.''Varun explains his friendship with Ishu 

''After a boy and a girl get matured and still roam as friends....this world can't accept it. We're living in a society that onlookers may misunderstand...if brother and sister go for a bike ride...'' but Varun's father objected to his point.

 ''You are right...but they can't change the brother and sister relationship, right? Brother and sister, mother and son, father and daughter. The society which is accenting them as true relationships...why can't it accept a boy and a girl friendship? We are roaming in the world of friendships these days it is because of the freedom that you gave us and the faith you kept in us. Since childhood, in school, college, cycling, love, happiness, sorrow and life she was with me everywhere and vice versa we've shared everything but.....but...I can't even think of sharing my bed also with her...she is my friend.'' Varun explains with tears which were about to roll down his cheeks.

''I thought there was no clarity in the minds of youngsters of this generation...and was hoping you to reform after seeing your clarity in the small line between love and friendship we think that our generation should be changed. Because we're in a society that can't take a boy and girl to be friends forever. I couldn't understand you. We've understood that your friendship is also a relationship. But your life partners should understand this'' Varun's father accepted his misunderstanding.
