10 ways to pass time in covid


With 14 more days for the lockdown to be over, I was wondering of some tips to pass time productively during quarantine. Here is a list of 10 things to do during quarantine.
1. Read a book. These days everyone is so glued fo their smartphones that they have forgotten the joy of reading a good book. So wear your reading cap and start reading.
2. Let mealtime be family time. During the busyness of regular days, we don’t get enough time to eat meals with our family. Lockdown is an opportunity for families to enjoy conversations at mealtimes and make the best of their time.
3. Shake your body to music. What can be more fun than dancing on some hip music.
4. Do something creative. Explore your inner talent and do something creative, whether it’s writing or craft or drawing or playing musical instruments.
5. Take up an online course. You can start learning many courses online. Many free courses are available on www.courseera.com.
6. Connect with yourself. Do meditation and find time for introspection. Quarantine is a time for one to reflect and look within. Spend a few minutes everyday in knowing yourself through meditation, spiritual reading or yoga.
7. Cook with your partner or mother. Cooking is not just a way to satisfy your stomach but also a therapy for the soul. It’s a great way to bond with your family. 8. 21 days 21 movies. If you are a movie buff then this is the right time to watch the movies that you may have missed. Why not do a movie marathon and watch one movie everyday for 21 days of lockdown?
9. Start a new habit. It takes 21 days to change a habit. Think about the habit that you would like to inculcate in your daily routine and do it for 21 days of the quarantine.
10. Last but not the least, watch Ramayana and Mahabharata. Doordarshan has started to air Ramayana and Mahabharata once again. These programs are not only mythological but they teach us important life lessons.
