You Blur My Eyesight
You Blur My Eyesight
Today a moist sunburn to face
As I meet my second sight again
Last night I mentioned a lost dream
It was lost, tough to regain.
It was clumsy, terrible, dusty
The dream of last night
As snow fell, the sun shone
And angels were full of fright.
Beneath a whim of an adored love
A life was ransacked, denied
If possession, perfection, passion
And when the light shone, he lied.
I condemned him, he accepted
And as I see him in broad daylight
A voice inside me quivered, as I said
“Your presence will blur my eyesight.”
