Tragedy

You are Forever

You are Forever

I used to think

What are you?

Now I wonder

Where are you?

Lost in the crowd

When someone calls your name

I turn around to see If you will appear

Even though I know

It cannot happen again.

I wish no one is able to assume your name

The name that suited you

Cannot suit anyone else

My mind will not wander again

In the futile search for you then.

In the dense forest

The concrete jungle

Or the teeming crowds of malls

I look for you

Whenever I hear your name.

It ended long ago

But you live in your name

You come alive

Whenever I hear your name

Only to disappear in the mist.

Those days are gone

I will never see you again

However, your name is carved in stone

On the surface of my mind

Where nothing else can be written again.
