You Are Constant

Only if I know:

Why you are so impossible to forget,

Why you are so angelic to look,

Why you get things without utterances,

Why your voice brings immense joy to me,

Why you don’t treat anyone less or cheap,

Why you are not inconsiderate to any living being,

Why you are so thoughtful,

Why you are emotionally intuitive,

Why each moment spent with you is so special,

I will look for someone to substitute,

Will move on with new people,

Will erase you from my mind…

I wish to see someone;

I wish to move on;

My instincts never allow me to.

You are not a conscious choice;

You are an emotion emerged

Out of nothing and nowhere…

My conscious choices fail me,

I can’t lie or convince my emotions

With so many worldly valid reasons…

 

They say:

Farther I am easier to forget

Lesser I speak faster things fade away.

I live a couple of thousand miles away,

Still it is hard to ignore the presence of you in my head;

I speak very less and rarely to you,

Yet I often relive every conversation we had;

Indeed, the time fades away in months and years,

The moments I spent with you

Stay around me as close as last night;

You are a dream that lives constantly

In my subdued subconscious,

When I am both awake and asleep!
