Be My Endless Ellipses…
Be My Endless Ellipses…
Without your subtle smiles,
Without your snide comments,
Without your invites to eating out,
Without getting the glimpse of your running,
Without arguing with you to my wit's end,
Without playing with you those card games,
Without smiling to the way you see me,
Without hearing your calm and composed nices,
Without getting angry at your way of seeing things,
Without wondering at your straight face,
Without getting anxious to your egregious surprises;
Without the warmth of your presence around,
Many months or a year just passed by…
You just tore my chapter off from your book;
Kept your pages clean to write your new chapters,
From the farther land of fortune,
With many interesting characters…
Indeed, the trace of my existence is discarded,
From your fancy perfect book!
Why isn't that easy for me to let you go?
I am still the same crumbled up piece of torn paper;
Flipping back and forth through the chapter, 'you and me'
With old-school earning, wishing and hoping:
For you to be my endearing endless ellipses
That extend till my last breath
As my fairy tale's long-awaited happy ending!
