The Moon’s Melody

The Moon’s Melody

Shining so beautifully from far,

Conquering the whole dark sky with your shimmering war,

Clouds put up a show by hiding and hazing you;

You peep out and dazzle my view!

Though you enjoy the company of lame passing clouds,

You glow all alone with your borrowed shrouds;

Though the light-lender push you across the globe,

You hold the loner banner and journey around the globe;

From far, all I can see is your flawless radiance,

As you hide away your flawed grey gradients;

If I get to witness your icy coldness without the warmth of light;

I might not be mindlessly obsessed at your sight;

Without any reason, I keep hearing your wordless song;

With all passion, I am stuck with the melody for so long…
