"International Women's Day"

Today the world is celebrating International Women's Day! We all take a day to reflect on how far women have come and look forward to future goals.

International Women's Day is a day to acknowledge the progress made in the fight for gender equality and raise awareness of the challenges that still remain. Gender equality is not just a women's issue.

It is a human rights issue. It is about ensuring that all people, regardless of their gender, have equal opportunities, rights and freedoms. It means breaking down the barriers that prevent women from reaching their full potential and participating fully in society.

Women are still disproportionately affected by discrimination, violence and inequality.

They earn less than men for the same work,

are underrepresented in leadership positions, and face more barriers when trying to advance their education, careers, and personal lives. Achieving gender equality will not only benefit women but society as a whole. This will enhance economic growth and development and improve family life outcomes.

This will also help in breaking stereotypes and promoting gender equality as a value.

A collective effort is needed to achieve gender equality. It's not just about empowering women – it's about creating a more just and equitable world for everyone.

Men and women must work together as allies and partners to fight for equality and create a future where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
