Why Blame Gandhi?

Why Blame Gandhi?

The man led his life with simplicity,

Without any complicity or duplicity!

Was it his fault that the non-demanding, humble, frail frame

With his deeds rose to fame!

All he did was practised and preached ahimsa.

With his efficacy, reduced the might of the British Empire.

For this should we not admire?

His humble efforts brought back all the comforts.

Yet all we do is play the blame game,

And make tall claims!

>If we could only remove the layer of dust,

And be awakened by the forceful gust.

And rise to the need of the hour,

I am sure within us we will feel that frail man of ours.

He who took the call at the right time,

And reached the decisions which were so prime!

Now it is our turn to heed to his advice,

Pay respect to the sacrifice.

Before it is too late,

And we succumb to our old fate!

And remain slaved to the vices, of which we were forewarned,

By this prudent man, he had created ripples and us he had alarmed!
