When It Rains
When It Rains

I like you when
You bring the cool breeze, beating the sultry heat
I love you when
You pitter-patter the roads
Where kids play, and lovers romance
I adore you when
The crops you help grow, in those parched fields
And I hate you when
You ride the tides with your menacing waves
I despise you
When I can mutely watch the waterlogging, the electrocutions
Believe me, there is no liking, no love, no adulation then
And I try to stop you in your tracks
And cover up the skies
With Godlike powers
That I don’t have
