When By Troubles,......

When By Troubles,......

When by troubles, terribly beset

When the nights are at their darkest,

And the days are full of despair;

When the heart’s feeling are the blackest,

And nothing in life seems fair,

When all around you there is turmoil,

And no internal peace;

When the world is so easily,

Torn apart; by jelaousy, with such utmost ease.

When one cannot count one’s blessings,

And the world seems full of sorrow;

When needs and wants are all to pressing,

And one cannot face such a tomorrow,

When by vexatious difficulties,

We are tired, sorely;

When it exceeds our abilities;

Hopes are dashed, leaving despair only,

When the cost of life is too great,

And our miseries seem never to abate;

When despairing, about our pitiable state,

We begin to despair, both god and our fate,

Then we should remember,

How life was, before it all began;

And surely we must realize,

That a day will come,

When all, shall be over and done.

A day will surely come,

When, all our trials will end.

And then, my dear countrymen,

There won’t be scope for us to pretend.

That in this hypocritical world; so hollow,

Divided into fragments, so shallow,

It is not war, that will capture and unite,

For after strife, ultimately peace will follow.

For him, who to ‘his’ will bends;

This entire world! ‘he’, never, unmixed, joy or sorrow, sends,

Finally victory’s flag shall be unfurled!

And, so never forget,

When by troubles beset,

That ‘he’ has not forgotten, to ordain,

An end; to this terrible pain.

As ‘he’ created,

For every arduous day,

A restful night, to take your troubles,

And give only gain

So, when life is a stormy sea,

Remember, soon it shall be calm;

Look throughout the pages of history,

God is the greatest healer,

Time; his soothing balm.

And, even though it’s hard,

To see through the blinding rain,

Somehow the clouds will vanish,

And the sun will find you again.

For, like night and day,

The learned sages say,

So indeed are joy and sorrow.

Light and dark, they interplay,

And propel you to a more glorious tomorrow.
