Vivekananda Kendra : Our Mission

It is great to be a teacher

And serve the future 'Bharat Bhavishya' - the learners

With tactfulness, efficiency, Ability, competence, humility,

Enthusiasm and responsibility.

Being a teacher, I have miscellaneous roles to play

And many miles to go

Before I stop forever.

A teacher becomes a Role Model

For his or her students

Only when his or her priority

Becomes non other than

His or her students.

When I look into my life,

I find it a long journey 

Which I am destined

To march on without fail.

Thus, being a teacher, I serve

This selfless purpose

Of 'rashtra nirman' (nation building)

With this unique 'dhyeya' (goal)

Of 'amrit sama shiksha seva' (service to learning like elixir).

Our spiritually oriented service mission -- Vivekananda Kendra,

Having its headquarter at Vivekanandapuram, Kanyakumari 

Serves the unique motto of "Man Making : Nation Building".

It was the illustrious 'karmayogi' -- the honest follower 

Of Swami Vivekananda,

Mananeeya Eknathji Ranade,

Who founded the historic Vivekananda Rock Memorial

On the large mid-sea rock, Kanyakumari

Where Swami Vivekananda reached on 24th December, 1892

And meditated for three days at a stretch,

From 25th to 27th of December,

On the aspects of the past, present

And the future of 'Bharat'.

There, Swamiji had a unique Vision of "ek Bharat"

And resolved to dedicate his life

For the 'SEVA' (service) of humanity.

And I am really privileged enough

To be a 'Sikshak Karyakarta'

Of one of the Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalayas in Assam

(Under Vivekananda Kendra Siksha Prasar Vibhag, Guwahati).

Indeed, we have to march on

A definite 'disha' (direction)

With other 'kendra karyakartas'

To fulfil our 'DHYEYA' (goal)

Of "Manav Nirman : Rashtra Punarutthan".

O Youth! Come and join the 

Vivekananda Kendra...

Let's actualize the vision of

Swami Vivekananda

And contribute our best

To regain the highest seat

Of the "Jagadguru" and make

Our Bharat Mata strengthened and consolidated.

It's time to execute the 

'Kendra Karyapaddhati'

In real sense.

Remember Swamiji's clarion call

And let's get involved in the 

'Yajna' of "Bharat Mata Pujan".
