'Tis The Season
'Tis The Season
The cold, along the dark sky is doing fine
Lights will be lit for the birth of divine
Nobody's sleeping until it's the time
We awaited a year for Christmas night.
City has gone silent and we want it that way
So we can hear the bells ringing in the distant
The church echoes by the choirs gospel
And everything around rejoice it's Christmas.
Holy soul took a breath in Jerusalem
Santa's returning with the gifts again
Kids are dressed up to sprint through the snow
And blizzard makes it all a perfect heaven.
'Tis the season to quest for a partner
Because all alone isn't a choice no more
Check on all good things to remember
Apparently it's the end of December.
There's a saying that it all ends well
I wrote a little letter but haven't finished it yet
I couldn't find the nerve to pen another line
I really couldn't until the Christmas arrived.
