Time For Reflection
Time For Reflection
In the true depths of my reflection,
A mirror that’s in perfect condition.
The secrets I pursue holds within,
An unseen world where echoes of myself begin.
When I press up against the glass,
It shimmers, causing me to guess.
Oh mirror, help me see what lies beneath.
Uncover facets of my identity like a thief.
Show the truth for what it is,
No matter how much it seems amiss.
Almost like a beautiful dance,
Colours swirl and reflect my chance.
With every little slant and view,
I started to see strengths and flaws too.
A symphony is playing in that glass,
Emotions are woven neatly as if with class.
My reflection stares back at me with a gaze so bright,
And lines on my face that tell of time, but won't fade in the night.
There's kindness in each crease by my eye side,
And wisdom born of years, keeping nothing to hide.
But there are shadows hiding very well,
Whispering fears I tend to quell.
Yet through this mist, a spark unfolds from you,
Renewing strength while moulding something new.
Oh mirror, give me one more glance
To teach me about taking a chance.
To love an imperfect face in this place,
And embrace the journey towards our chosen pace.
When I look into your reflection, I can finally see,
The mirror that shows both You and Me.
