Till Death Do Us Part
Till Death Do Us Part
As I stare into the sunset
I witness a kind of relief.
I finally quenched my desire,
I've stuck to my belief.
The ripples near my feet,
blur out her treacherous face.
As she descends into the depths,
at a slow awkward pace.
The water has a tinge of red,
I think the veins are free.
It's almost time for sunset,
there's nobody there to see.
Her pain reminds me of my own;
her suffering soothes my heart.
Then on the sand, I wrote the words;
"Till Death do us part."
