There Was A Time
There Was A Time
There was a time
When you could buy everything for a dime
From apples to gold
Everything that was sold.
There was a time
When mangoes were called lime,
Or even grapes or orange
It would be a continuous change.
There was a time
When people were not fine
They had no clue
As to what was false or true
Then the almighty made his presence
To educate us with his essence
Into a human he turned
To help all those who yearned
He decided to share his wisdom
With all in the kingdom
Help them all a bit
So their own destiny they could knit
He tried to make them all wise
But the people thought otherwise
They laughed and laughed
For they were all daft.
But the god had taken a pledge
To share his knowledge
He influenced one by one
Everyone under the sun
He educated all the nation
And there was a big celebration
For they were not fools any more
And wisdom and knowledge they bore.
He nurtured the tree
Of wisdom you see
He protected them from a great fall
For he was a teacher after all
