The Cure
The Cure
A pain had taken over
And I was not exactly fine
It was feeding on me
So I sought for a cure divine
I struggled and struggled
Trying to break free
But it was hollowing me from the inside
Like a parasite does a tree
I longed for escape
But couldn't win
I felt like a fish in the ocean
Without its fin
When all hope was lost
And all the world felt wrong
When nothing was working
I had time to ponder for long
Then my mind soared
At million miles an hour
Then it came to me
That I had the power
The power to execute
Just one single task
And all I needed
Was just to ask
Ask myself
to let go of the pain
That sometimes holding on
Was all just vain
So I perceived
The cure was always there
The cure for
All the pain and despair.
