The Tour Heard Round The World

She embarks on her journey, starting with the land of the rising sun 

Her days and nights are filled with sushi, karaoke, anime and fun 

Then off to Bhutan, the happiest country in Asia 

With its amazing nature and sights to see, what better place to find out who you are 

She finds inner peace next amidst Nepal's various monasteries

Now as I go on, I'm sure to mix up the order 

Just know that she felt free as she crossed from border to border 

She made her mark in Spain in the mountainous terrain 

And she tried to recall having had better meals but the effort was in vain 

She sailed through the rest of Europe, collecting souvenirs

And bought skirts and sweaters in Paris, leather and cashmere 

She learned about the ancient deities in Greece as she decked herself in fleece 

And took a small detour to England to meet her sister and her favourite niece 

She skied in the Alps and warmed herself by the fireplace 

She enjoyed her own company and taking the journey at her own pace 

In Amsterdam, she saw factories making shoes and cheese 

Along with beautiful canals and houses by the trees 

She paid homage to the hub of Catholicism in Italy 

Her love for Italian food made the trip a special treat 

In the Nordic countries, she sometimes missed warm sunny afternoons 

And in the streets of NYC, she danced to her favourite show tunes.

The Hollywood Sign and the walk of fame held so much exciting potential 

Getting to experience the grand canyon and mount Rushmore made her feel special 

Mexico was yet another culinary adventure

There was no country on planet earth where she felt she could not venture 

South African safaris helped her to connect with nature 

She could feel the love radiating from every kind of critter and creative 

The pyramids of Egypt were humbling and see inducing 

And a cruise upon the Nile was one of the best things to do of her choosing 

The great barrier reef in Australia had the most beautiful corals 

She went snorkelling and scuba diving in bikinis with printed florals 

She spent some time in an igloo and was pulled around by sledges 

She made little snow people and she made them little beds 

She ended her journey in the cold desert with the Penguins 

Her world tour was complete and successful, and she chalked it up as one of her wins
