The Scary Dream
The Scary Dream
The vulture flapped its wings
The sky turned dark
There rose a tempest
The dogs began to bark.
The sounds of creaking doors were heard
The owls began to hoot
Firewood burnt itself eerily
The chimney covered with soot
The hounds bayed in the jungle
The predator searching prey
The witches wore dirty capes
All colours turned grey.
Somewhere in the graveyard
The dead rose from their sleep
A farmer, knight, a soldier
A bride began to weep.
Zombies walked alongside
Vampires smeared with blood
Thirsty and dead walked for more
Hunting in the wood.
Bats screeched above
A broken house, haunted and lonely
Infested with poisonous insects,
Mice and cobwebs in plenty.
A candle's wick flickered
Burning upon a coffin
I screamed up from my dream instantly
Shivering and profusely sweating.
