No War Only Peace
No War Only Peace
My gentle request
Turned into a dictating command
As she denied outrightly
Resulting in disobedience
And finally, we began
Confronting,
Consciously hurting each other's pride.
The role of mediator did arise
Who was puzzled and unable to decide
As each of the two opponents
Refused to retreat
She thinks it's her birthright to contradict
And I think I should only chide.
The heated arguments
Do not benefit anyone
It's hard to decide
Who is right
It harms the goodwill
Harmony breathes its last
Maybe this is how peace is lost
Friends, family, people
Hearts, souls, and nations divide.
Hatred garners only malice
Revenge and enmity
Stop spewing venom my friends
And hail humanity!
I suggest -
let's excuse and apologize
Throw away our false pride
Let's live in harmony
Be each other's guiding light
Let's train our mind to calm
And tame it as we wish
There wouldn't be war in this world
Only happiness and peace
