The Rain

The Rain

Ah..the rain again.

He remembers

The first time he met her

It was a rainy day like this,

Nothing fancy about it,

Just a shy boy

Fell in love at first sight.

Then he heard a footstep

It was her,

Her black umbrella,

Her dark black jacket,

Her beauty didn't age at all.

He never doubts it before and now,

She was an angel.

But it's hurt him

To see her like this,

Was it his fault?

Or society and traditions,

Are love and romance

To be trajectory

To a particular form and base!

Like the month before,

And the other months,

He saw her tears again.

He wants to reach out,

Hold her hand,

Those lips, her warm kisses,

Her soft hugs and

Tender breast,

He held out his arms

Her shoulder beneath his palm,

He said, "Ka hmangaih che"

She didn't hear a word,

She was weeping

As she sits beside

His marble tombstone.

And..ah..the rain comes again.
