The Orphaned String Of Flowers
The Orphaned String Of Flowers
Once, a tiny string of flowers
Sorrowed and disturbed,
Cried its heart out
To its only listener, mother earth
"Oh mother, I am an unlucky orphan
With no kin or relatives
With no one to care for me
Or no one for me to claim as a friend
I emerged with hard work from a closed bud
To a blossomed, fragrant bunch of flowers
With skilled hands, I was strung together
And sold from the market to adorn a lady's hair
But after a day, I wilted to black - brown
No fragrance hung around me, so I was thrown
Curse the human clan !they use all the resources
And throw them once their value is lost
"Don't worry my child," said mother earth
''Come join me, your grievances shall be forgotten", she assured
So the grateful string joined the mother
And buried itself in her warm embrace
