Gone
Gone
Nerd she was called, they called her a geek,
Defected she was, silent and meek
Depressed she lay, waiting for a moment of joy,
But she only had books to make her enjoy
So, she read them, kept reading the whole day
Until all her hair ripened and turned grey,
She smiled and laughed with the tide of words,
She also cried for and sympathized with all the hero's hards.
One day, a hubristic teen, tried to prank her, and to her home
he came,
Took away her book and burnt it up in the golden flame,
That was the end, her heart broke,
And in a moment, she too was all up in smoke
The boy stood looking at her ashes, stunned and aghast,
Guilt dissolved him, and he ran fast,
But his sin did not permit him elude,
A truck crushed him on the road, and he left into solitude.
